Dr. Robert McIntyre has been providing excellent dental care to his patients in Westfield, New Jersey since 1973 when he became a founding member of Westfield Dental Associates, PA.

Dr. McIntyre attained his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University in 1967. He graduated with honors in 1971 from Columbia University with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. He won the esteemed Van Woert Scholarship award, a commendation from the Long Island Academy of Odontology, and a scholastic achievement award from Psi Omega Fraternity. He also graduated as a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.

As an intern, he served in the U.S. Army, where he received advanced training in prosthodontics, periodontics and oral surgery. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps., where he was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for outstanding and meritorious service.

Dr. McIntyre moved to Westfield in 1974 and has worked extensively with various organizations including Westfield Jaycees and the Westfield Optimist Club.

Dr. McIntyre is a member of Plainfield Country Club. He has played competitive golf for many years and proudly maintains a single digit handicap. He is also an active member of the Westfield Tennis Club.

Dr. McIntyre is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Central Dental Society. He also has received a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

After completing hundreds of hours of continuing education in areas of restorative dentistry including crowns, bridges, implants and occlusion, he is one of the finest dentists in the Westfield area. The art of cosmetic dentistry is his expertise, which includes porcelain laminates, cosmetic crowns and composite(tooth colored) fillings.

Dr. McIntyre currently resides in Scotch Plains with his wife Karen and their golden doodle, Chloe. He has two married sons who grew up in Westfield and attended the Westfield school system. Michael, his wife Karen and their three daughters live in Cranford, NJ. Billy, along with his wife, Jamye and their twin boys live in Baltimore, MD.
